Football Recap: Cypress Ridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cypress Ridge extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were outmatched by the Memorial Mustangs and fell 54-13. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 883rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 169th).

As for Memorial, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. The game marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Grant Sperandio went supernova, throwing for 235 yards and four TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 32 yards. Kade Gulledge also helped with two scores in total.

Cypress Ridge has already played their next contest, a 47-13 defeat against Cypress Creek on the 10th. As for Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-31 victory against Cy-Fair on the 11th.
