Volleyball Recap: Garner Comes Up Short

Garner saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Victory Christian Academy Patriots.

Makayla Gonzalez paced Garner's offense, picking up two kills. Gonzalez were helped by Tarryn Wakefield and Kaylin Long, who contributed two assists each.

Garner's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Victory Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-2 record this season.

Garner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Saint Jo on the 23rd. As for Victory Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Forestburg on the 22nd.
