Oneonta had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Holly Pond on Tuesday. The Oneonta Redskins' pitchers stepped up to hand the Holly Pond Broncos an 8-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Redskins as they're now sitting on five straight.

Carter Clyde was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Inman Carson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Oneonta pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Holly Pond, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Oneonta will challenge West End at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Oneonta's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so West End's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Holly Pond, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Meek at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meek has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.13 runs per game on average), something Holly Pond will no doubt try to take advantage of.
