Football Preview: Bethany Bronchos vs. Jones Longhorns
The Bethany Bronchos will head out on the road to challenge the Jones Longhorns at 6:55 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Bethany humbled Marshall with a 44-6 victory. Given the Bronchos' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Bears are ranked 198th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Judson Gilliland had a dynamite game for Bethany, rushing for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Another signal caller making a difference was Jackson Payne, who threw for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Jones was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 425 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kiefer only gained 86.
Jones' defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Luke Debusk and Mason Templeton. Templeton is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.
Bethany's record is now 2-0. As for Jones, their record now sits at 2-0.
