Newcastle came tearing into Monday's game with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Washington Warriors get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Racers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Jackson Schanuel was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Sheamus McLaughlin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Newcastle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only posted a batting average of .235.

Newcastle's victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 31-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Washington, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-8 record.

Coming up, Newcastle will be playing at home against Bishop McGuinness at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
