Oakland waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Blackman Blaze get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Blackman's batters probably weren't too happy with Patrick Freeman, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (he gave up two walks). Freeman has become a key player for Oakland: the team is undefeated when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 10-11-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Oakland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Greever, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Oakland's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Blackman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-5.

Oakland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blaze: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
