Lejeune hadn't done well against Pamlico County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lejeune Devil Pups strolled past the Pamlico County Hurricanes with points to spare, taking the game 60-43. The win was familiar territory for the Devil Pups who have now won six games in a row.

Lejeune's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devon Charles, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards. Lejeune is undefeated when Charles posts eight or more rebounds, but 3-5 otherwise. Connor Shea was another key player, putting up 16 points along with eight boards and six assists.

Lejeune smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.

Lejeune's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. As for Pamlico County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-11.

Lejeune will challenge Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lejeune knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Southside likes a good challenge. As for Pamlico County, they will face off against Northside - Pinetown at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
