Softball Recap: Bonney Lake Comes Up Short

Bonney Lake lost against Olympia back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell 5-2 to the Bears. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bonney Lake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Berg, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Bonney Lake's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6. As for Olympia, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Looking ahead, Bonney Lake will welcome Bethel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bison have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.06 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Olympia, they will square off against Spanaway Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears are facing the Sentinels at the right time seeing as the Sentinels are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
