Scripps Ranch is 0-7 against Mission Bay since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Scripps Ranch Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mission Bay Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m.

Scripps Ranch is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Mira Mesa. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Marauders are ranked 127th).

Meanwhile, Mission Bay had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Warhawks with a sharp 69-49 victory. The Buccaneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Mission Bay's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Scripps Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
