Baseball Recap: Governor Thomas Johnson Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Hagerstown on Tuesday, Governor Thomas Johnson came back down to earth. The Patriots lost 16-8 to the Urbana Hawks on Wednesday. The Patriots have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Governor Thomas Johnson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelo Brooks, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Brooks also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another was Miles Hyatt, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Governor Thomas Johnson now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Urbana, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.
