Basketball Recap: Junipero Serra Comes Up Short

Junipero Serra played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders and fell 68-40. The Padres haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Junipero Serra's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Archbishop Riordan, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Junipero Serra has already played their next game (against Valley Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Archbishop Riordan will head out on the road to face off against Saint Francis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Riordan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Saint Francis likes a good challenge.
