Baseball Recap: Mount Si Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Mount Si was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Skyline Spartans by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Mount Si got a good showing from Kainoa Keith, who struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. The Wildcats are 5-2 when Keith allows one or fewer earned runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Mount Si saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Mentink, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Mount Si's record now sits at 12-11. As for Skyline, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-13.

As of now, neither Mount Si nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
