Softball Recap: Hitchcock Comes Up Short

Hitchcock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 20-1 to the Van Vleck Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 back in March.

Hitchcock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LesleyRose Batiste, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Hitchcock's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Van Vleck, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hitchcock will head out to take on East Bernard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Brahmas have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matches. As for Van Vleck, they are taking a road trip to challenge Brazos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
