Softball Recap: Collinsville Has No Trouble Against Althoff Catholic

Collinsville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Althoff Catholic on Friday. The Kahoks never let the Crusaders get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Kahoks this season.

Lilly Paarlberg was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Paarlberg was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bailey Demick, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Carsyn Moad was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Collinsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .828. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
