Recap: Gainesville Cardinals vs. Hayfield Hawks
On Friday, Gainesville earned a 48-39 victory over Hayfield. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gainesville.
Gainesville found their leader in underclassman Peyton White, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Grace Ellingson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Gainesville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Hayfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gainesville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against James Madison at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Hayfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Gwynn Park at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
