Basketball Recap: Quad Cities Christian Victorious

Quad Cities Christian won the last time they faced Tri-State Christian, and Tanner Garant did his part to make sure it happened again. The Quad Cities Christian Eagles claimed a resounding 65-31 win over the Tri-State Christian Huskies thanks in part to Garant, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 21 points and four steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Cobie Becker-Paradiso, who posted 11 points in addition to four steals and three blocks. That's the most steals he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Defeat or not, Tri-State Christian got some senior leadership from Noah Duenser and Matthew Gilles. Duenser scored ten points, while Gilles dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jack Eells, who put up four points.

Quad Cities Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Tri-State Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Quad Cities Christian and Alleman will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Quad Cities Christian is facing Alleman at the right time seeing as Alleman is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Tri-State Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Pathway Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
