Basketball Recap: Tensas Drops Season-High Score on Delta Charter

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tensas). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-16 victory over the Delta Charter Storm. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-57 back in January.

Tensas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayleigh Brooks, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Brooks is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Shakira Turner was another key player, putting up 14 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Tensas was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Tensas' record now sits at 7-11. As for Delta Charter, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-18.

Coming up, Tensas will venture away from home to take on Delhi at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delhi will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Tensas surely won't give up without a fight. As for Delta Charter, they will host Claiborne Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
