Softball Recap: Riverside's Run of Seven Straight Wins Now Over

Riverside and Andrews squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Riverside had to settle for second. They lost 14-2 to the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Rangers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Riverside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julie Muniz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

With the defeat, Riverside broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-13. As for Andrews, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-7.

While Riverside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
