Recap: South Wake Sabres vs. New Life Camp Storm

There's no place like home for the South Wake Sabres, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against New Life Camp by a score of 63-52 on Friday. Given South Wake's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while New Life Camp is ranked 446th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Wake was led to victory by Ira Wilson and Jacob Webb. Wilson almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, while Webb scored 29 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Webb has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Santos, who scored nine points along with two steals.

South Wake pushed their record up to 18-10 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for New Life Camp, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

South Wake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Life Camp, they will square off against Southeastern HomeSchool at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Southeastern HomeSchool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
