Basketball Recap: The Webb School Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Chinom Chiemeka and Philip Bang-Meyer

After flying high against Antioch on Tuesday, The Webb School came back down to earth. The Feet took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goodpasture Christian Cougars on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Feet in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Philip Bang-Meyer and Chinom Chiemeka certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Bang-Meyer posted 15 points, while Chiemeka had eight points and seven rebounds. Bang-Meyer is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 42% in the last three games he's played. Finn Measday also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

The Webb School's record is now 1-4. As for Goodpasture Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, The Webb School will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Silverdale Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Goodpasture Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-61 victory against Notre Dame on the 28th.
