Baseball Game Preview: Rye Neck Panthers vs. Dobbs Ferry Eagles

For the second straight game, Rye Neck will face off against Dobbs Ferry. The Panthers will square off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Rye Neck beat Dobbs Ferry 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Rye Neck got a great performance from Jake Mandell as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Mandell also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Panthers are 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Ben Gellman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Chris Cervantes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Dobbs Ferry is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Rye Neck, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
