Volleyball Game Preview: St. Croix Falls Saints vs. Ladysmith Lumberjacks

St. Croix Falls has gone a perfect 8-0 against Ladysmith recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Saints will venture away from home to challenge the Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. St. Croix Falls is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, St. Croix Falls got the win against Ashland by a conclusive 3-0.

While St. Croix Falls won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-23, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Ladysmith came up short against Unity on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lumberjacks in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-15.

St. Croix Falls' win bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Ladysmith, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-21.

Everything went St. Croix Falls' way against Ladysmith in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as St. Croix Falls made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
