Volleyball Recap: Garces Memorial Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Garces Memorial was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Stockdale on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Frontier Titans on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Garces Memorial was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Emily Hayes and Payton Bradford, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Reegan Launer and her 13 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Frontier was led to victory by Sarah Pringle and Eden Wegis. Pringle had eight digs and five aces, while Wegis had ten digs. That's the most aces Pringle has posted since back in August.

Garces Memorial dropped their record down to 18-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Frontier, their record is now 17-14.

Garces Memorial has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Liberty on the 21st. As for Frontier, they will head out on the road to take on Centennial at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
