Baseball Recap: Western Christian Takes a Loss

Western Christian lost against Capistrano Valley Christian on April 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fighting Lancers took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Fighting Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson Thompson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Will Stradley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles.

Western Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

While Western Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
