Robert Mcdaniel Delivers Best Effort of Season

Robert Mcdaniel produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hughson to the win on Friday. Mcdaniel wasn't messing around, throwing for 427 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per attempt. The matchup was his third straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.

The win for Hughson keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Mcdaniel and Hughson are taking a road trip to challenge Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tommy Sutton Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Sonora came up short on Friday despite Tommy Sutton delivering his best game to date. Sutton rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (112.9) per game. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards.

Merek Ellerd Goes Supernova in Hilmar Win

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Merek Ellerd stepped things up a notch to give Hilmar the 'W'. Nobody could stop Ellerd as he rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes.

Hilmar now has a winning record of 4-3. Ellerd and Hilmar will face off against Summerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hughson Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Malakai Sumter

Malakai Sumter's big game helped extend Hughson's winning streak to seven on Friday. Sumter was dynamite, picking up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 73 yards.

For the year, Sumter has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 76.4 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 44.29 receiving yards per game.
