Soccer Recap: Pinecrest Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Union Pines, Pinecrest was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the Garner Trojans 3-2. Given Pinecrest's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Garner are ranked 282nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jadyn Lamielle and Jane Dare Trumbo scored all three of Pinecrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

Pinecrest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four contests. As for Garner, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Pinecrest will challenge Hoke County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Garner, they will host Southeast Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
