Aubrey Rogers waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They skirted past the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks 5-3.

Aubrey Rogers got a great performance from Justin Lewis as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over 6.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance gave Lewis a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Matthew Perazza was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

Aubrey Rogers' victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coming up, Aubrey Rogers will welcome Northridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cornerstone Charter Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Buena Vista at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
