Softball Recap: West Carroll Wins Going Away Against Middleton

West Carroll never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 18-0 margin over the Middleton Tigers. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the War Eagles considering their one-run performance the match before.

Karma Wilkey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Wilkey was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.

In other batting news, West Carroll got a big performance out of Haliey Mitchell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Presley Coleman, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The win got West Carroll back to even at 1-1. As for Middleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Carroll will welcome Gleason at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. West Carroll is facing Gleason at the right time seeing as Gleason is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Middleton, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Middleton Tigers challenge Trinity Christian Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
