Recap: Rains Wildcats vs. Lone Oak Buffaloes
The Rains Wildcats had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.1 points), and they went ahead and made it 16 on Friday. They blew past Lone Oak 63-21 at home. Rains has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 21 points or more this season.
Rains' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Presley Kilgore, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Caroline Piles was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Rains' win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Lone Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.
Rains will be playing at home against Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chisum will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 667th, while Rains is ranked 65th). As for Lone Oak, they will head out on the road to face off against Commerce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
