Volleyball Game Preview: Red Bud Musketeers vs. Wesclin Warriors + How To Watch

Red Bud is 2-8 against Wesclin since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Musketeers are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Red Bud will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.

Waterloo came into Monday's match looking for another win against Red Bud, but Maria Murry wouldn't allow it. The Musketeers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Monday for which the team can thank Murry, who had 18 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10 digs per game.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Wesclin earned a 2-0 win over Greenville on Tuesday.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Wesclin was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13.

Wesclin's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Red Bud, their win bumped their record up to 24-1.

Red Bud was able to grind out a solid victory over Wesclin in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Musketeers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
