Canyon View is 8-1 against Emery since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Canyon View Falcons will head out to take on the Emery Spartans at 3:00 p.m. Canyon View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Canyon View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Dixie, who was ranked third at the time (Canyon View was ranked 11th). Canyon View fell just short of Dixie by a score of 9-8 on Wednesday. The Falcons' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Jake Thomas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Emery posted their closest win since May 6, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over San Juan.

The team relied heavily on Beau Stilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Bronx Olsen was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Emery is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. Canyon View's loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Canyon View skirted past Emery 4-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Does Canyon View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Emery turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
