Basketball Recap: Ticonderoga Sentinels vs. Moriah Vikings
Ticonderoga lost against Moriah back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ticonderoga Sentinels had to suffer through a 68-38 loss at the hands of the Moriah Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Sentinels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while the Vikings are ranked 226th).
Cooper Allen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Moriah, putting up 27 points in addition to six assists and six boards. Allen is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in each of the last 28 games he's played dating back to last season. Joe Pelkey was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Ticonderoga's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Moriah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
As of now, neither Ticonderoga nor Moriah have any future games scheduled.
