Mount Academy came tearing into Saturday's contest with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Beacon Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Meghan Hofer paced Mount Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Hofer got some help from Marion Winter and her 17 assists. Finally, Hofer was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Mount Academy's victory bumped their record up to 30-3-2. As for Beacon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Mount Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Shenendehowa on the 18th. As for Beacon, they will face off against O'Neill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
