Soccer Game Preview: Trion vs. LaFayette

The Trion Bulldogs will face off against the LaFayette Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Trion didn't have quite enough to beat Mt. Zion and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, LaFayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against North Murray, falling 9-1. LaFayette were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-1.

Trion's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-8. As for LaFayette, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Trion got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in February against LaFayette by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Ramblers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
