Basketball Recap: East Moline Christian Comes Up Short

East Moline Christian lost against First Baptist Christian back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Moline Christian Eagles had to suffer through a 57-25 loss at the hands of the First Baptist Christian Knights. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 730th, while the Knights are ranked 314th).

Despite the loss, East Moline Christian still got an impressive performance from Bright Tsolegnanou, who en route to 10 points and six rebounds. What's more, Tsolegnanou posted two assists, the most he's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Zion Levine, who put up six points.

East Moline Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-19. As for First Baptist Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.

East Moline Christian has already played their next match, a 53-20 defeat against Tri-State Christian on the 13th. As for First Baptist Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-49 win against Crosspointe Christian Academy on the 18th.
