Baseball Recap: Fuqua Takes a Loss

Fuqua lost against Amelia Academy two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons lost 12-2 to the Patriots.

Fuqua saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Simon, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Simon has hit this season. Another was Collin Jamerson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Fuqua has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Amelia Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fuqua will take on The New Community School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Amelia Academy, they will challenge Kenston Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Kavaliers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
