Basketball Recap: Astronaut Takes a Loss

Astronaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 63-46 to the Merritt Island Mustangs. The War Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Astronaut's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Merritt Island, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Astronaut will take on Spruce Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Merritt Island, they will challenge Eau Gallie at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
