Basketball Recap: North Mahaska's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

North Mahaska put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Belle Plaine Plainsmen to the tune of 65-7. Given the Warhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Plainsmen are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Mahaska's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points per game. As for Belle Plaine, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

North Mahaska wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-40 loss against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on the 6th. Belle Plaine has also already played their next game, a 46-22 defeat against GMG on the 6th.
