Basketball Game Preview: Reedsport vs. Myrtle Point Bobcats

Reedsport hasn't had much luck against Myrtle Point recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Reedsport will venture away from home to face off against the Myrtle Point Bobcats at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Reedsport had to suffer through a 58-21 loss at the hands of Oakland. While losing is never fun, Reedsport can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Oakland is ranked 118th).

Meanwhile, Myrtle Point waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 58-24. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Myrtle Point's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Reedsport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.

Reedsport was dealt a bruising 67-18 loss at the hands of Myrtle Point when the teams last played back in January. Can Reedsport avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
