Baseball Game Preview: Bonanza Bengals vs. Foothill Falcons

Bonanza is 1-9 against Foothill since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bengals will be playing at home against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. Bonanza knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Foothill likes a good challenge.

Bonanza not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 2nd (when they won 21-0). They were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over Smoky Hill.

Darren McGee was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Bonanza is 4-0-1 when McGee posts two or more runs, but 1-7-1 otherwise. Deegan Polson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Bonanza was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Foothill's offense. They fell just short of Estrella Foothills by a score of 2-0 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since April 30, 2025.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Bonanza, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7-2.

Bonanza couldn't quite get it done against Foothill in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 6-3. Can the Bengals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
