Basketball Recap: Arlington Takes a Loss

Arlington fought the good fight in their overtime game against Archbishop Bergan on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 74-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbishop Bergan Knights. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (61), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Arlington lost, don't look at Trent Koger. Despite the final result, he shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double with 31 points and 19 boards. The match was Koger's third in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Ladehoff, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Archbishop Bergan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arlington will take on Concordia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Bergan, they will square off against West Point-Beemer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
