Basketball Recap: Brazosport Christian Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Brazosport Christian extended their home winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Malerie Gonzalez. The Brazosport Christian Eagles were the clear victor by a 35-12 margin over the Legacy Christian Academy Warriors on Friday thanks in part to Gonzalez, who posted ten points and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Brazosport Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.5 points per game. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Brazosport Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Chinquapin Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will welcome O'Connell at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. Legacy Christian Academy is facing O'Connell at the right time seeing as O'Connell is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
