Brevard has gone 8-1 against Polk County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Brevard not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th. They blew past Smoky Mountain 17-11.

Meanwhile, Polk County won against Hendersonville two weeks ago with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again last Wednesday. The Wolverines put the hurt on East Henderson with a sharp 7-1 victory. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Junie Mitchell, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mia Bradley, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Mitchell wasn't the only one making solid contact: Polk County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matches.

Polk County pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Brevard, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Everything went Brevard's way against Polk County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Brevard made off with a 15-1 win. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
