Wilcox County extends home winning streak to five

The Wilcox County Patriots put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Turner County with a sharp 56-31 win. The result was nothing new for Wilcox County, who have now won three matches by 25 points or more so far this season.

Wilcox County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kamauri Martin led the charge by scoring nine points along with 13 rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Martin pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamauri Martin, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Wilcox County pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Turner County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Turner County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pelham at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Pelham will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
