Basketball Recap: Kimberly Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Kimberly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 68-60 to the Fond du Lac Cardinals. The Papermakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Kimberly's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-6. As for Fond du Lac, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kimberly will square off against Kaukauna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaukauna knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Kimberly likes a good challenge. As for Fond du Lac, they will head out to take on Oshkosh North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fond du Lac's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
