The Mather Rangers are taking a road trip to square off against the Lake View Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Mather is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Mather is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Freeport on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to the Pretzels.

Meanwhile, Lake View suffered their closest defeat since May 3, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Kennedy by a score of 3-1. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mather's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lake View, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Mather couldn't quite finish off Lake View when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 9-7. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
