Basketball Recap: Reece Meyers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Meadville over Atlanta

After flying high against Higbee last Saturday, Meadville came back down to earth. The Meadville Eagles lost 70-48 to the Atlanta Hornets on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meadville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Reece Meyers, who posted 14 points. Carter Thompson was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 14 points.

Meadville now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Atlanta, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Meadville will venture away from home to challenge Brashear at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Atlanta, they will host Linn County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
