Volleyball Recap: St. Francis Borgia's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

St. Francis Borgia lost against Lafayette back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The loss put an end to the Knights' undefeated start to the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11.

Lafayette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubrey Dumstorff, who had seven digs and one assist. Addy Wiese was another key player, getting eight digs and one assist.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Francis Borgia fell to 2-1. As for Lafayette, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, St. Francis Borgia and Lafayette will both be playing St. Joseph's Academy the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Angels at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lancers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
