Foundation Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Ocoee Knights. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won five in a row.

Riley Winters was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Winters was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kamryn Arico, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. She also put up two doubles, which were her first of the season. Katherine Johnson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Foundation Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Foundation Academy's record now sits at 5-2. As for Ocoee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
