Softball Recap: Rockford Auburn Knights vs. Harlem Huskies

Rockford Auburn had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 15-11 to make it four. They came up short against the Harlem Huskies, falling 12-1. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ava Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Harlem, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-8. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

On Harlem's side, Rylie Adams made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. Adams was also solid in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Harlem let Maddy Merschman and Adriah Sholl run wild. Merschman went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Sholl went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Merschman has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Joslyn Agustin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
